What is a Manifestation Journal?

Journaling can be used for all sorts of things. Keeping track of your experiences, tracking moods, self-discovery, and more.

It’s an amazing practice for so many areas of life for the fact that writing things down holds a lot of power. It can help us process our thoughts, plan, and even make breakthroughs we wouldn’t be able to otherwise

A manifestation journal is a journal that’s specifically focused on defining and creating your dream life through manifestation and the law of attraction.

  • it may serve as a place for you to jot down your desires and goals, as you think of them
  • your manifestation journal may allow you to reflect on your desires and goals and make changes as needed
  • a manifestation journal may help you see how your intentions change over time, serving as a place to keep track of them
  • your manifestation journal may enable you to use specific manifestation techniques, like gratitude journaling and affirmations.

Ultimately, your manifestation journal can be whatever makes the most sense for you, personally.

How to get Started Using a Manifestation Journal

You have a couple options when it comes to starting a manifestation journal.

One thing you’ll want to decide when beginning is whether you want to start with a blank journal, or a template.

With a blank journal, you can get creative on how you use your journal and what journaling exercises you want to use.

Ways to use a Manifestation Journal

So how can you use your manifestation journal? As mentioned, the possibilities are endless! That said, here are 8 main ways you can use your manifestation journal:

1. Gratitude Journaling

Gratitude and manifestation go hand in hand. Why? Because our current reality are full of things that we have already manifested.

By expressing gratitude for these things through journaling, we inspired confidence in our abilities to continue manifesting our desires.

To start gratitude journaling for manifestation, consider journaling about the following:

  1. 5 things I’m grateful for
  2. Something good that happened today
  3. 3 people I’m grateful for
  4. What I’m learning from my challenges

2. Setting Intentions

How do you know what you want to manifest? In order to truly harness the power of the law of attraction, you must first set intentions that are true to who you are and your desires.

Intentions are just another way to define the goals you have for manifesting. But when it comes to defining them, it’s important to get specific.

To journal for setting intentions, intention setting journal prompts can be great. A few to get you started:

  • Deep down, what do I truly want in my life?
  • The best part of my life is…

Additionally, there are some specific exercises that can help you set intentions, like a focus wheel.

These journal prompts and exercises are all included in the Days Inspired manifestation Journal.

3. Affirmations

If you haven’t tried using affirmations for manifestation yet, I highly recommend you do so.

They are incredibly effective! Affirmations are short, positive statements that we say or write down to manifest our intentions. To use affirmations, you first either write your own or select affirmations that feel true to you from a list of pre-defined intentions.

Then, you can use them in a variety of ways. When it comes to journaling, certain exercises like the 555 method and 777 method rely on affirmations.

4. Tracking Progress

Manifestation is a long term practice. It’s not easy to see progress on a day to day basis. However, over the course of weeks, months, and even years, you’ll see how your manifestation practice impacts your life.

Especially if you’re journaling to track progress.

Here’s a few ways you might consider using your manifestation journal to track progress:

  • Write down your monthly manifestation milestones
  • Plan your week- what will you work towards manifesting? What methods will you use?
  • Track your habits– use a manifestation habit tracker to ensure you’re using manifestation techniques regularly.

5. Manifestation Journal Prompts

If you feel stuck in your manifestation journey, taking time to really think on some manifestation journal prompts can help quite a bit.

There are so many great manifestation journal prompts out there, but here’s a few to get started:

  1. What is holding me back from living the life I desire?
  2. Exactly what Am I afraid of? What would it feel to let go of my fears?
  3. In your dream life, what kind of person do you want to be? How do you want to /feel/?

6. Scripting

Scripting is a manifestation technique in which you write in your journal as if your desires have already come true.
Imagine that each of your desires has come true. Get really detailed with this, then journal on the following:

  1. What am I doing
  2. How do I feel
  3. Who else is there?

It’s a great practice to repeat. Consistently journal as your future self, and eventually you will see your path converge.

7. Reflecting

Manifestation is an inherently reflective process. Your manifestation journal is a great place to take a step back and reflect on your manifestation journey.

Each week, reflect on the following & write about it:

  • What went well
  • Can I improve anything in following weeks?
  • What do I need to let go of?

Closing Thoughts

Starting a manifesting journal has been an extremely powerful practice for me. It has helped me overcome barriers in my manifestations, and get much closer to living the life I dream of.

I compiled the techniques I used and more all into one place with my manifestation journal on Etsy. If you’re ready to get started, the journal is perfect for you!

I hope that starting a manifesting journal can do the same for you and that you feel inspired to get started in whatever way feels most authentic to you.
