As we settle into this autumn season, it’s important to remember to take some time for ourselves. Fall is generally filled to the brim with activities to do with friends and family. While this can be so fun, if you’re anything like me, it can also be a bit draining.

That’s why during the fall I commit to getting some self-care in. I made a list of my 50 favorite fall-themed self care activities that I challenge you to make time for this season.

Let’s get in to the Fall bucket list!

1. Spend some time in nature

If you feel like you’ve spent more time looking at photos of fall leaves online than actually being outdoors, it might be time to get some fresh air. I love fall because as the leaves change, the beauty of nature is brought right into our neighborhoods for us to enjoy. It doesn’t have to be anything extraordinary, but make sure you go outside to enjoy a morning coffee, go on a walk, hike, bike ride, or whatever floats your boat to soak it all in!

2. Bake a fall dessert and share it with someone you love

Pick out one of those fall recipes you’ve been eyeing and go for it! There’s nothing better than enjoying a fall treat. Plus, delivering fall goodies is a great excuse for a low-key way to spend some time with someone you care about. (no judgement if you keep your fall dessert for yourself, though ?)

3. Have a cozy night in by the fireplace

You know that fireplace you have that you never use? Make it a point to use it this fall season! Cuddle up with a blanket, fall scented candle, and hot chocolate for a cozy night in.

If you don’t have a fireplace, did you know Netflix has a 4K fireplace you can put on your tv?

4. Get some new skincare to prepare your skin for the colder weather

I don’t know about you, but I can already feel my skin getting drier. Invest in some hydrating skin care products this fall and pamper your skin. Having hydrated and moisturized skin makes such a difference as the weather starts to turn.

5. Try out a new fall recipe and indulge

You don’t need to wait until thanksgiving to make a decadent fall meal! Find some comfort food you’d like to try, and make it for a homemade meal for just you. It’s a good opportunity to treat yourself, but also try a new recipe for future reference!

6. Paint pumpkins

There’s some great examples floating around the web of more modern & mature pumpkins that you could use for decoration. You might be surprised how much fun you have, too.

8. Volunteer at the food bank

In the midst of this season of thanks giving, it’s important not to forget about those who may not have the same blessings as ourselves. Find a way to give back in your local community . Whether that be volunteering your time at a local food bank, contributing monetarily, or something else, go out of your way this fall to help out in your community.

9. Treat yourself to a pumpkin spice latte

Pumpkin spice is a classic, but there are so many others I want to try like the Salted Cream Cold Brew and S’mores Cold Brew.

10. Start your morning by writing a gratitude list

We celebrate our thanks on thanksgiving, but it would do us a lot of good to think of the things we are thankful for way more frequently than just once a year. One morning this fall, try starting your day with a gratitude list
