It’s Christmas time! There’s something about DIY-ing your own Christmas door that just makes the holidays feel extra special. Not to mention, you can save a lot of money wit DIY Christmas Decor

TikTok has a lot of great DIY content I’ve been wanting to share. I compiled a list of 7 DIY Christmas Decor ideas from TikTok that stunned me with the results!

Whether you are looking to get your craft on by yourself, or share the fun with family or friends, I hope these ideas inspire you!

I’ve also put together lists of what you will need for each and a short summary of the directions— I hope this is helpful!

1. Reindeer Vignettes with Floating Candles

These came out so elegant and I’ve truly never seen anything like them. There’s not a lot of heavy lifting either craft-wise either. They would look beautiful on a table setting or side table!

What you’ll need

  1. Glass Jars
  2. Bead Strands
  3. Bows
  4. Clear Reindeer
  5. Hot Glue Gun
  6. Tea Candles

How to Recreate

  1. Trim your beads to the circumference of the jars you are using. Then, Using your hot glue gun, glue them to the top and bottom edges of the jars. You can use whichever beads work with the style of your home
  2. Glue your bow to the reindeer figurines neck.
  3. Glue the figurine to the bottom of the jar
  4. Fill the jar with water and top with a tea candle.

2. Easy Christmas Vignettes

A super simple way to create your very own Christmas village- without a ton of money. Who knew that you could use something as simple as sugar for the snow!

What You’ll Need

  1. Glass jars with lids
  2. Sugar
  3. Tin houses
  4. Fake candles
  5. Small trees
  6. Bows

How to Recreate

  1. Fill the jars a few inches high with sugar and even them out.
  2. Place the tin homes on the sugar with the candles inside them.
  3. Add trees to the sides of the houses
  4. Tie ribbon on the jars lids & put them on the tops of the jars
    That’s it— super simple!

When I watched this for the first time, I didn’t really know what to expect. When it was done, I was so surprised how pretty it came out! I’m thinking of recreating this with all white & silver ornaments— I think that would look really pretty.

What you’ll need

  1. Wine glasses
  2. Candle bases
  3. Mixture of large & small ornaments
  4. Glue gun
  5. Fake Pointsetta
  6. Candles

How to Recreate

  1. Fill each wine glass with a mixture of large and small ornaments
  2. Glue the candle bases to the top of the wine glass
  3. Wait for the glue to dry, then flip the glass upside-down.
  4. Glue your fake flowers to the base of the glass
  5. Place the candle on top of the glass and glue on more flowers to complete the look

Everyone wants a beautiful Christmas wreath, but they can get really pricey. I could not believe that his DIY wreath only cost the creator $9 for everything!

What You’ll Need

  1. Plain wood wreath
  2. Hot glue gun
  3. Mixture of large & small ornaments in a color of your choosing

How to Recreate

  1. Starting with your large & medium sized ornaments, wedge them into gaps in the wood and glue in place.
  2. Fill in with small ornaments until the wreath is complete

Only two steps, but it could definitely take some time!

5. DIY Glitter Christmas Ornament

These Christmas ornaments would be a great idea for a group craft. They are super simple and can be customized to any color glitter off your choosing.

What you’ll need

  1. Plain clear fillable Christmas ornaments
  2. Polycrylic
  3. Paper funnel
  4. Any color glitter

How to Recreate this Decor

  1. Pour polycrylic first into a small container, and then into the plain ornament.
  2. Move around the ornament to ensure the polycrylic creates an even coat on the entire inside.
  3. Use your paper funnel to discard extra polycrylic- you only need a thin layer
  4. Pour glitter in the ornament using the funnel and distribute it to the entire interior.
  5. Let dry upside-down

6. Giant Christmas Ornaments

These giant Christmas ornaments are just so funned adorable! I love the idea of these sitting on the porch or even somewhere in the house, like around the tree. I feel like there are so many small DIY decor ideas, but you rarely see large decor like this that is easy to make.

What You’ll Need

  1. Medium & Large size exercise bouncy balls
  2. Metallic finish spray paint
  3. Small & medium plastic cups
  4. Ribbon
  5. Snowflake decals
  6. Craft glue

How the Recreate

  1. Cut slits in the bottom of the plastic cups & spray paint them silver
  2. Glue the snowflake decals to some of the ornaments
  3. Feed the ribbon through the slits on the plastic cups & then glue to the top of each exercise ball
  4. For an added touch, tie more ribbon around the base of the cups on each ornament

7. Santa Cam

If you have kids, this is a hilarious way to make sure they’re always on their best behavior! I love this Santa cam decoration because it is so subtle and unique.

What You’ll Need

  1. Stick on Letters
  2. Quick shine
  3. Round jar with lid
  4. Red glitter
  5. Fake camera lense
  6. Small Santa Hat

How to Recreate

  1. Pour quick shine in the jar and cover the inside
  2. Remove excess and add glitter
  3. Let dry & replace lid of jar
  4. Cut a small hole in the jar and place camera in the hole
  5. You’ll either need to print your own letters, or just use some stick on letters. Either way, Stick Santa cam on the jar around the camera
  6. Glue the small Santa hat to the top of the Santa cam
